Raspberry fruit tea

Raspberries were actually cultivated by the Romans in the 4th century. Linnaeus used the name iadeus was for the red raspberry; for the genus, he used the name Rubus from the Latin Ruber, which means red.

Raspberry tea may consist of the fruit or dried leaves of the raspberry plant. Raspberry iced tea, a popular and refreshing summer beverage, is made by adding fresh raspberry juice or extract to black tea and serving it with ice.

The fruits that the Rubus idaeus or raspberry plant produces are delicious and highly nutritious. Berries contain a diverse range of phytochemicals with biological properties such as antioxidant, anti-neurodegerative, and anti-inflammatory activities. Raspberries are rich in ellagic acid, which has displayed the ability to prevent various cancers. These include cancers of the skin, lung, bladder, breast, and esophagus.

Used for thousands of years by Native Americans, red raspberry is helpful as a uterine tonic to strengthen the uterus during pregnancy and strengthen contractions during labor.

Raspberry tea also takes on toxins with ease and reduces cholesterol levels in the body, serving an important role in preventing several cardiovascular diseases.

Antioxidant properties found in the raspberry help to protect cell membranes from damage from free radicals. Ellagic acid is not the only antioxidant found in raspberries.
